How to reconcile your bank statement
Import your bank statement and let Flinvo match transactions to your issued invoices automatically.
Reconciliation tells you exactly which invoices are paid and which aren't, based on real transactions on your account. Flinvo accepts the most common formats and suggests the likeliest matches.
Bank reconciliation is included in the Smart plan. You can try it without limits during the 14-day trial.
Supported formats
- CAMT.053 (XML) — European banking standard, downloadable from almost all business accounts.
- Generic CSV with Date, Description, Amount columns.
The steps
- 1Download the statement from your bank portal in CAMT.053 or CSV format.
- 2In Flinvo go to Invoices → Reconciliation and click Import statement.
- 3Drag the file. Flinvo analyses incoming transactions and proposes matches with issued invoices based on amount, date and references.
- 4Confirm the suggested matches, or fix ambiguous ones by hand.
- 5Matched invoices get marked as paid with the actual transfer date.
Import the statement once a month, after the previous one closes. That way matches stay clean and you don't chase payments one by one.
Outgoing transactions (payments you make) are not touched by invoice reconciliation: use the Expenses section for those.
